| 1792 |
The regiment
was formed at Compiègne as the Hussards de Lamothe and
subsequently the 8eme Régiment de Hussards per Decree of the
Convention, 23 November. |

1793 |
Following
Decree of 4 June, the regiment was redesignated 7eme Régiment de
Hussards. |
|
1794 |
The regiment
was augmented by incorporation of the cavalry of the Legion de
Kellermanm (including the 4th Squadron of the Régiment Saxe
Hussards). |

1805 |
As part of the
3rd Corps of the Grande Armée campaigned at Mariazell, Afflenz,
and Austerlitz. |

1806-7 |
On campaign
with the Grande Armée at Gera, Zehdenick, Prentzlow, stettin,
Lubeck, Czentsowo, Golymin, Eylau, Heilsberg, and Konigsberg. |
| 1809 |
On campaign
with the Armée d'Allemagne at Peising, Ratisbonne, Raab, Wagram,
and Znaim. |
| 1812 |
On campaign
with the Grande Armée at Vilna, Smolensk, Ostrovno, Borodino,
Winkovo, and Malorjaroslavetz. |
| 1813 |
Survivors and
remnants remained with the Grande Armée at Borna, Altenbourg,
Leipzig and Hannau. |
| 1814 |
The regiment
fought at Vauchamps, Montereau, Reims, Laon and Paris. In the restoration, the
regiment was renamed by the Royalists to the Régiment de
Hussards d'Orléans. |
| 1815 |
Designated
Colonel-Général Hussards prior to being renamed 7eme Régiment
de Hussards. The regiment fought at Fleurus and Waterloo
with the Armée du Nord,
and was disbanded with the restoration in November. |
