Bottes et Sabots

A classic Hungarian cut was used for the Hussar boot. These boots were made of black leather with yellow lace and tassel at the top. The hussar boots were pleated from the top of the foot to the lower shin for greater comfort during long periods in the saddle. The heel is stacked leather with wooden pegs. Spurs were often screwed into the heel.
Sabots, or clogs, were used when performing stable duties and in foul weather.
